Terms of Service

Welcome

PIC Young Adults Ministry (“we,” “us”) is a private community space for members of the Praise International Church Young Adults ministry to ask questions, share prayers, and encourage one another. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Who can use this

You must be at least 13 years old to use this app. By signing in, you confirm you meet this requirement and that the information you provide through Google sign-in is accurate.

Community guidelines

This is a space for honest, faith-rooted conversation. By participating, you agree to:

• Treat every member with kindness and respect
• Keep what is shared in this community confidential
• Speak honestly without attacking others
• Use the privacy levels (anonymous, first name, full name) thoughtfully

What is not allowed

This app has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not post or share:

• Harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech of any kind
• Content that targets or demeans any person or group based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or religion
• Sexually explicit content, nudity, or content depicting minors in any unsafe way
• Violence, gore, or content promoting self-harm
• Spam, scams, advertising, or links to malicious sites
• Content that violates copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
• Personal information about other people without their consent
• Impersonation of other members, pastors, or any third party
• Anything illegal under Canadian law

Flagging and moderation

Where it's safe and right, we encourage members to speak with one another directly when something feels off. When that isn't possible, every post has a flag button that sends the content to a pastor for review. This is the formal report mechanism — pastors review every flag within 24 hours and remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

You can also quiet individual members. A quieted member's posts won't appear in your feed. They aren't told. This is the in-app block functionality — you can manage your quieted list from Settings.

Your content

You own the content you post. By posting, you grant us a limited license to display it within the app to other members of the community. We do not use your content for advertising, sell it, or share it outside this app.

You can edit or delete any of your posts at any time. Deleting your account also deletes your posts and associated data — see the “Account deletion” section below.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page at any time. Once deleted, your profile, posts, prayers, comments, reactions, and notification subscriptions are removed and cannot be recovered.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove accounts that repeatedly violate these terms, harass other members, or post objectionable content. Decisions are made by the ministry pastors and are not appealable through the app.

No warranty

This app is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the accuracy of user-generated content. Spiritual guidance from other members reflects their own perspective, not official ministry teaching unless stated by a pastor.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or from content posted by other members.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
